Food porn: cow and chiken

This time it's mostly about the meats and one special hummus.

chicken sandwich
A place near my work mistakenly made me this sandwich - I wanted roast beef and was handed a chicken breast instead. I only noticed the error once I was back at the office but it was actually in my favor as the chicken breast was exquisite. It was incredibly moist and really flavorful.

Indian Tali

This is from one of my favorite places in the entire world. A tiny Indian place called Salam Bombay. It's run by a couple that also does the cooking and the serving and their hands just work magic. There's no menu and you can just choose from whatever dishes they prepared for the day. The place is open for 4-5 a day and is closed on weekends.

beef shoulder sandwich

This is a great sandwich with a sad story. My greenfield and I went to a hummus place in our area just to discover that it was closed for good. On our way back we bought fresh baked French country bread and wonderful slices of beef shoulder pastrami.

Abu Adham

This is from a place called Abu Adham. Their hummus is made in the northern Galilee tradition which means its light and has lots of tahini in it, it's sweeter and it is served with tons of olive oil. According to the northern hospitality tradition they also offer unlimited free refills and a cup of hot spiced coffee after you can't have anymore hummus.

Domino's

Domino's with mushrooms and hot pastrami. It was divine.

Food porn: drooling all over

I gladly present the first of a series of posts based on stuff I ate.
These shorts should be descriptive enough not to be boring and short enough to keep you reading.
Hope you enjoy.

corned beef bagel

Tal Bagles is a great place to start with. This is a poppy seed bagel with corned beef, mustard, lettuce, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes and deep fried eggplants mixed with parsley. The meat was tender and you can see it's pinkish and wonderful. The mustard added a wonderful spicy kick to all the meat and vegetables.

pizza

This pizza is from an awesome tiny place called "Pizza USA". It's a father and son place, they are quite cheap and extremely tasty. Each slice is packed with simple yet amazing flavors. This place is kinda far from where I live but is well worth the drive since they deliver an old-school style pizza that takes me back to my childhood.

avocado breakfast

A simple home made breakfast of cherry tomatoes and avocado on a Jerusalem style bagel (long, narrow, coated with sesame and almost crispy).

pastrami toast

Grilled pastrami toast with mustard and pesto. The place that makes them (Suduch) gives you a glass of lemonade and a side of spicy pickles with every order.

tandoori chicken tikka

Tikka chicken made on a skewer in a tandoor oven. The chicken was soft, amazing, so rich and juicy. I was told that it was marinated with herbs over night which would explain the tenderness and moistness to it.
The onions were a bit much tho - I hate onions to the point of nausea and these were incredibly smelly.
